Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Things You’ll Need:
- Sunscreen or Sun Lotion
- Wide brimmed hat
- Long sleeves
- Sunglasses
Step1
Avoid excessive exposure to direct sunlight. This is specially so between 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. The sun is at its hottest during this time. Prevalence of skin cancer is therefore more prone during this period.
Step2
Use sun protection if you must go under the sun. Use sunscreen or sun lotion with sun protection factor (SPF). If you must go under the sun for about an hour, use sunscreen with SPF30. If you need to be under the sun for two hours, use SPF50. Use sun protection with lower SPF for regular use or if you must go under the sun for short bouts.
Step3
Wear long sleeve clothing to protect your skin. Use wide brimmed hat to protect your face and the back of your head including the neck. Use sunglasses to protect your eyes. This will protect your eyes from problems like cataracts or snow blindness.
