How to make Macaroni and Cheese with Tomato

This is a quick and easy recipe for macaroni and cheese with tomatoes using box mac and cheese. If you are looking for something different than plain macaroni and cheese, then this will add a little extra without much effort. It's good served with a green vegetable and a warm bread.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 or 2 regular sized boxes of "mac and cheese" (such as Kraft Cheese and Macaroni, using regular macaroni noodles or mini shell noodles)
  • 1 can diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 sliced or chopped onion, sauteed
  • Sliced celery, sauteed
  • olive oil
  • shredded cheddar cheese
  • ground black pepper to taste

Step1
Completely cook and prepare the prepackaged box of macaroni and cheese according to the directions on the box.
Step2
Sautee the chopped or sliced onion and the sliced celery in olive oil. Then add to the pot of macaroni and cheese.
Step3
Add can (drained) of diced tomatoes to the pot of macaroni and cheese.
Step4
Add ground black pepper and shredded cheddar cheese and stir. Let simmer until everything is warm. Then serve and enjoy!

Tips & Warnings

  • Serve with a green vegetable and/or cornbread or other warm bread.
