In order to be a female model, you’ve got to know what type of modeling you fit the requirements for.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Before pursuing a career in the modeling industry, it helps to know what type of model you can be. The only way to know this is to break down the popular categories of modeling and what the specific requirements are for each. These are just guidelines and are not absolute (there are always exceptions to the rule) but these are the ideal requirements.
Step2
Fashion models are the cream of the crop and must meet strict requirements. Fashion, runway and editorial models:
Height: 5’8”-6’0”
Weight: 105-125 lbs
Measurements: 34-24-34 (bust, waist, hips)
Size: 0-4
Physical: naturally slim/slender, not very curvy, striking/unique/odd features, strong bone structure, good complexion, healthy hair
Step3
Commercial/print models represent products, ideas and companies that cater to the general public. Commercial/print models:
Height: 5’5”-5’7”
Weight: 105-125 lbs
Measurements: 34-24-34 (bust, waist, hips)
Sizes: varies
Physical: proportional, symmetrical, attractive face, great smile/teeth, good complexion
Step4
Petite models are basically smaller versions of fashion models. Petite models:
Height: 5’1”-5’5”
Weight: 100-125 lbs
Measurements: 34-24-34 (bust, waist, hips)
Sizes: 2-4 petite sizes
Physical: proportional, naturally slim/slender, strikingly attractive, good complexion, healthy hair
Step5
Plus size models are the same as fashion models but wear larger clothing sizes. Plus size models:
Height: 5’8”-6’0”
Weight: varies
Measurements: varies, but must be proportionally 10 inches between measurements (example: 42-32-42).
Sizes: 10-18
Physical: proportional and toned, great skin, hair and teeth, nicely shaped legs.
Step6
Glamour modeling is more about showcasing the model instead of clothing or products. Glamour models:
Height: open
Weight: open
Measurements: varies but 36-24-36 is ideal (bust, waist, hips)
Sizes: open
Physical: glamour models can be short or tall, thin or thick. The curvier, the better. Should have a great, toned body, full bust and a nice butt.

Tips & Warnings

  • Most agencies will make exceptions to the rule for models who have a great look that they can't turn down.
  • Be realistic in choosing which type of modeling you can do. If you'll never be tall, don't waste time hoping you'll grow and instead go for modeling that caters to shorter gals.
  • Once you know where you fit in, start looking into modeling agencies that represent the type of modeling that you want to do.
  • Modeling agencies are very picky about the models they choose to sign so be prepared for the possibility of harsh critcism.
  • It takes more than just meeting the above requirements to be a model. There are more factors including personality, determination, being photogenic, etc.

I launched exoticnewengland.com which is New England's #1 Adult Entertainment Site so if there are females looking for a real opportunity for an audition they should first check out the site at exoticnewengland.com and then contact me directly at info@exoticnewengland.com...Again, great article!
