Begin your journey through haunted Alaska with a stay in Anchorage. The historic Anchorage Hotel is our first spooky location so be sure to reserve your room ahead of time. Ask for room 215 or 217 as visitors report the televisions going on and off by themselves and the water faucets turning on in the middle of the night. Employees also report seeing the apparition of a young girl and a ghostly man walking on the stairs.

  2. Step 2

Also try the Courtyard Marriott Hotel. Room 201 has a permanent spirit, who is reported to be the ghost of a man who died there. Rooms 103 and 107 also show evidence of a ghostly cat that guests hear meowing in the night.

  3. Step 3

Drive to Fairbanks for a real thrill. Hit Chena Hot Springs Road between mile markers eight and 12 at night to see the well known "ghost lights." Take your camera and see if you can catch the weird light activities on film.

  4. Step 4

No ghostly tour is complete without a visit to a cemetery and in Alaska it's Ketchikan Graveyard in Ketchikan. Be there at night with your equipment and you may catch the headless apparition. It is said you should drive up the main path and you'll see a glimpse of this unfortunate soul.

The last stop is the Katmai National Park. This is the place that Timothy Treadwell, better known as the "Grizzly Man" loved and where he and his girlfriend died during a grizzly attack. If you get a chance to walk around the Bear Maze area, be on the lookout for cold spots and an eerie feeling.
