This is a very popular appetizer for any type of gathering. Uncooked bacon is tied into a knot to make a bite-size morsel, then dipped into either brown sugar or coarse ground pepper. Delicious!

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 3lb Uncooked Bacon, divided in half
  • 1 1/2 Cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 Cup Honey or Maple Syrup
  • Coarse Ground Pepper
  • Broiler Pan lined with Foil
  • Non-Stick Spray
Step1
This is how the knots should be tied. Spray foil covered pan with non-stick spray. Cut each 1 1/2 lb of Bacon in half. Tie each half piece into a loose knot.
Step2
Dip half the knots into the brown sugar and place sugar side up on broiler pan. Dip the other half of the knots into the honey or syrup first, then into the coarse ground pepper. Place these dipped side up on the broiler pan.
Step3
Bake or broil at 350 degrees F for approximately 15-20 minutes until bacon is crisp and coating is bubbly. Can be held up to 3 hours at room temp.
