It’s true that the Internet offers a lot of undesirable sites that prevent you from wanting your children to search for certain resources on their own. However, it has become the largest and most informative source for education research that we have ever known. So, the question arises, how do you prevent your children from viewing the garbage that’s out there accidentally while searching for their educational site? Read on to learn how to prevent children from viewing unwanted websites.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Open a separate User Account for your child so that all your data is kept separate from theirs. Make it without a password so that their station can be easy for them to access.
Step2
Keep a password on your account so that the children have no access to any account except their own.
Step3
Make yourself the administrator over their account so that you can be in control of programs and sites that can be available to them. This way, only when you, the administrator, is logged in, can any programs in their account be modified, added or deleted. Therefore only the Internet sites that you have made available will be there for them. This will prevent them from being able to surf on their own.
Step4
As the need arises, use your administration authority and set a particular site up on their account. Find the site and save it in their "Favorite File” under simple names so that they can access it without your help. They will not be able to go outside of the particular site that you have selected.
