Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Eat foods that promote healthy brain functioning. Foods like blueberries, walnuts, avocados and broccoli help improve memory. Green tea is also good for the brain and studies show it can actually prevent Alzheimer’s. Salmon is another brain food because it contains omega-3 fatty acids which help support healthy brain functioning.
Step2
Get plenty of exercise. Staying active increases blood flow to your brain. Activities like walking, biking or swimming at least three times a week can improve your memory and even reduce your chances of developing dementia later in life.
Step3
Learn a new skill. Any time you learn something new, your brain creates new connections. Try showering with your eyes closed, if you’re right handed, practice writing with your left hand or learn a new language. The goal here is to keep challenging your brain.
Step4
Connect with other people. Relationships with family and friends will help keep you happy which is also good for your brain
