There are many diseases floating around. Many are becoming immune to antibiotics. We all need some safe guards to protect ourselves from being contaminated by harmful diseases and germs. This article will assist you to keep yourself free of diseases and contaminants.

    Antibiotic-resistant bacteria now exists that over powers the body's immune system and destroys tissues. Such bacteria are usually spread from person to person by direct contact. Transmission can also occur by touching contaminated surfaces or clothing. Several cases have been reported among tattoo customers.

    What can we do to protect ourselves:

    If seeking a tattoo, make sure the person is licensed and proper safety precautions are taken.

    Visitors in the Hospital visiting patients with isolation precautions should wear gown and mask, or not visit.

    One very powerful little rule: If its wet and its not yours, do not touch it.

    Keeping the hands clean has been proven to decrease germs on the hands. This can be in the form of vigorous hand washing or use of hand sanitizers.

    Keeping yourself as healthy as possible will help your own immune system work efficiently. To enhance your own immune system engage the following suggestions. Stop the bad habits: smoking, excessive drinking, over eating; stay out of the crowds; get eight hours of sleep each night; take vitamins; eat adequately washed fresh fruits and vegetables; drink water instead of sodas; don't engage in unprotected sex with anyone.

  • If you get an illness and are prescribed antibiotics, take the prescription exactly the way the doctor recommended. Not taking the antibiotics as directed can cause disease resistant bacteria and disease. Antibiotics will kill the bacteria and disease agents if used correctly. If not used correctly and the bacteria and germs are not killed, they develop resistant to the antibiotics. They become super bugs.
