Things You'll Need:
- Elmers glue
- Shaving cream
- Food coloring
- Plastic bowl
- Spoon
- Paintbrushes
- Constuction paper
- Art smocks
-
Step 1
First spray as much shaving cream as you desire into the plastic bowl. The amount will depend on how much painting you want to do with the children or the amount of children.
-
Step 2
Now add from 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup of Elmers glue to the shaving cream. The more the shaving cream in the bowl the less glue you will need.
-
Step 3
Add 3-4 drops of any color of food coloring and mix. Mix until the consistency goo's up kind of like taffy except not as thick.
-
Step 4
Have the children use regular paint brushes and paint onto construction paper.
-
Step 5
When the paint drys it will be a soft, puffy, and have the 3 dimensional effect to it depending how much pain the children used. It's so much fun and as a preschool teacher it is one of my favorite recipes for paint!
