How to create lovely candle holders, using fruit, pinecones, leaves, flowers.

Warm ambient light from a candle sitting in a frozen pond of water.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • ice cream container or cool whip container
  • water
  • plastic cup
  • pieces of fruit, flower petals, natural materials.
  • candle
  • freezer
  1. Step 1

Fill the container with water, then add anything natural to the water, such as flower petals, seashells, sliced fruit(grapefruit, orange etc.), cranberries, anything that'll freeze into the water.

  2. Step 2

Place the cup into the center of the container and place lid over the whole container, put into the freezer and let it freeze.

  3. Step 3

After it has been frozen, remove plastic cup, this is where the candle can sit, place onto a glass plate and light the candle, enjoy! I've done this for several occasions, its simple and beautiful to look at, always use votive candles, easily replaced.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't use glass products to freeze, they'll snap with the cold of the freezer and water.
  • Never leave a candle unattended.
