With so many culinary choices and spirited concoctions, brunch is the perfect time to sit back, relax and chat the day away.

From Quick Guide: Have the Perfect Sunday
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Friends
  • A table on the patio of your favorite brunch restaurant (weather permitting)
  • A leisurely approach to the weekend
  • Photos that others may want to see
  1. Step 1

Set aside a Sunday to get friends or family or both together for brunch.

  2. Step 2

Emphasize that it's giong to be a "leisurely" brunch, and that people should come hungry and ready for conversation.

  3. Step 3

Make a reservation at a sit-down restaurant that is famous for its brunch. Having a patio area that's located in a hotspot or near some nice scenery is a big plus.

  4. Step 4

Order mimosas, hibiscus, champagne, Bloody Marys or sangria once everyone arrives.

  5. Step 5

Update everyone on your life, and have everyone else do the same.

  6. Step 6

Share details about upcoming events like weddings or vacations, and pass around photos that you want to show others.

  7. Step 7

Bring any magazine cut outs of dresses, sample invitations or vacation brochures - basically any type of decision that you've been mulling over that can be visually shown to people - and pass them around to get some outside input on your decision.

  8. Step 8

Order a dessert that you can all share, or order a few and pass them around the table.

  9. Step 9

Ask if anyone would like to try anything off the appetizer menu once the lunch or dinner selection becomes available.

  10. Step 10

Ask if anyone would like to sober up by doing a little shopping or walking, or maybe get coffee nearby, before parting your separate ways.

Tips & Warnings
  • Though a full brunch plus dessert, drinks and possibly a lunch/dinner appetizer seems like a lot of food, remember that you'll only get a bite or two of the items you pass around
  • To keep the conversation going, tell people to bring pictures of their kids or their latest vacation that you can all show each other
