How to care for a cat after he has been neutered

Do you have a cat that just got neutered? Do you have other pets in your house that could harm him while recovering? This article will provide some tips to care for your little feline.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Love
  • Caring attitude
  • Patience to keep other pets away from him
  • Patience to keep him from licking his wound
  1. Step 1
    Give him a small space to be by himself
     
    Give him a small space to be by himself

    Keep him confined to a small room where there are not a lot of things to jump on or off of.

  2. Step 2
    Pamper him!

    Give him a soft towel, blanket, or pillow to lay on while recovering.

  3. Step 3

    Keep other pets (dogs, cats, and others) away from him so he does not get hurt.

  4. Step 4

    Tell your children to be gentle with him for at least a week while holding him. You may suggest that they not hold him at all.

    Show him lots of attention - make him feel loved!

  6. Step 6

    If traveling with your cat, ensure to keep him in his carrier - this will keep him confident he is free from danger.

    MOst of all - show unconditional love!!!!!

Tips & Warnings
  • If he starts to bleed or his wound is moist, you can take him back to the vet for suggestions - they can also give him some pain meds
  • Your cat may meow a bit - just treat him as you would want to be treated!!!
