We all like a little different toppings from time to time. Have a great time trying this one on for size.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
Step1
Using a spice or coffee grinder, grind together red and black peppers, dried herbs, garlic powder, minced garlic, and salt.
Step2
Sprinkle 2 teaspoons of the dried herb mixture onto a small plate. Pour a thin layer of olive oil on top, and serve. Store remaining mixture in an air-tight container. This would make a great homemade gift for family and friends to compliment any meal.
Step3
If you wait to add the oil then this mixture sealed well will last as long as the expiration dates on the spices you use. Cooking in this case is not required.

Tips & Warnings

  • This is a great base for toasted garlic bread.
  • Always check allergies before serving to guests.
