Step 1
Proper Skin Care: Skin is the #1 place where we show our age and it pays to take good care of it. Cleanse your face twice a day with a gentle cleanser and moisturize your whole body. Yes, your whole body. Pay particular attention to your hands, throat, neckline and face. Elbows, knees and feet need a heavier moisturizer and face/throat needs the lightest.

Step 2
Limit your sun: There's no need to avoid the sunlight like a vampire. You can have a moderate amount of sun exposure as long as you take the proper precautions. Use sunscreen every single day no matter what. It doesn't matter if it's raining or foggy or cloudy. Use 25 SPF or higher on your face, throat and neckline. Also, invest in a hand cream with SPF as well. The higher, the better. Limit your sun exposure during the hours of 10am-2pm when the sun is the strongest. Give up the tanning booth.
-
Step 3
Hydrate: Drink your water, eight 8oz glasses per day. Just do it. The need to pee every 3.5 minutes goes away after a couple of days of being well hydrated.
-
Step 4
Sweat: Sweating removes the impurities in your skin. Whether through going to the gym, lots of sex, or a sauna, sweating is good for you.
-
Step 5
Avoid trends and Update Your Wardrobe: What happens when we have closets full of trendy clothing? As soon as that trend disappears, we look dated. Have you seen What Not to Wear? Hiring a personal shopper may seen like an luxury, but in the long run, the education that you get from hiring a professional to tell you what is classic and looks good on your body type will save hundreds of dollars on clothing because you'll stop buying crap that sits in your closet. Say goodbye to mom jeans.

Step 6
Update your look: Get rid of the hair style you've been sporting for the last ten (or more) years and update your make-up. Most people tend to stick with styles they learned in high school and college, not realizing that not only does it make you look dated but it doesn't work with older bodies/faces. Get rid of the gray and find a make-up counter person who has a make-up style you'd actually like to wear for a fresh, new look.
