If you have ever tried to clean out your closet you have probably encountered the dilemma of what to do with so many T-shirts. No closet should contain too many years of T-shirt collecting. So here are some things you can do with those you no longer wear regularly.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Old T-shirts
  • Scissors
  • Paint (walls)
  • Large tarp or disposable sheets
  • Easel or coat hanger
  • Paintbrushes
  1. Step 1

Cover anything in the room that you do not wish to get paint on including furniture or walls with the tarp or old sheets that you no longer wish to use.

  2. Step 2

Using the easel or coat hanger, hang up the shirt.

  3. Step 3

Dip the paintbrushes in the paint color of your choice.

  4. Step 4

Like Jackson Pollack, flick your wrist, sprinkling paint onto the shirt.

  5. Step 5

Repeat this step with other colors or from other directions until you have covered it or really like the design you have created.

  6. Step 6

    Allow the shirt to dry.

  7. Step 7

Turn the shirt around and repeat.

  8. Step 8

Let this side dry. Remove the protective coverings from your furniture and clean up.

  9. Step 9

Wear it around town to give everyone the impression that you are artsy and creative.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you do not like the results from the first side, do not repeat. Instead, cut the unpainted side of the shirt up into large squares and use these new rags for cleaning.
