Read on to learn how to make plaster baby footprints.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Mix the dry plaster powder with water according to the instructions on the package as different brands may vary.
Step2
Pour the plaster into your mold. Remember you want the mold to be decorative. You can use a pie pan or a even a cake pan shaped like a heart. Let the mixture settle a bit until it starts to get more firm. Do not let it dry.
Step3
Take the baby's foot or hand and press them against the hardening mixture. Try not to let them wiggle too much as this may affect the result. It is easiest to do once they are asleep or have eaten.
Step4
Release the baby's foot or hand from the mixture.
Step5
Allow it to dry or repeat as you see fit.

Tips & Warnings

  • For an extra touch, take a toothpick and as done in wet cement, write the baby's name or date in the mix.
