Step 1
Create a blog if you haven't already using Blogger or Word Press. These sites include basic templates that run you through a series of questions, allowing you to simply fill in the content. No HTML skills required.

Step 2
Create quality posts to show off your writing abilities. Choose relevant topics to today's society and things that you are passionate about. You writing will be stronger when you are in love with the topic.

Step 3
Create an "About Me" section that helps you toot your own horn by listing places that you have worked, publications (online or hard copy) that you've written for, and any other relevant information.

Step 4
If you've written for online venues, create a separate section that links to those sites.

Step 5
If you've written a book(s), include a link to the book(s)and allow people to purchase the book from your flog or provide information as to how they can obtain the book.

Step 6
Create a separate section that lists topics that you are willing to write on. If someone needs an article written on that topic they can contact you.
