Many people create beadwork these days and if you are one of them, this can be a great way to make money online. There are many avenues through which you can sell beadwork online.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Make several pieces of beadwork.

  2. Step 2

Take good pictures of your beadwork with a digital camera. You’ll need closeups that look really good--no blurry images please.

  3. Step 3

Put up a professional website where you can post pictures of your beadwork for those online to see. Don't use free websites unless they are ones in which there is no forced advertising at all.

  4. Step 4

Purchase a domain name and point it at your website. This is really important because you want to appear as professional as possible.

  5. Step 5

Advertise your beadwork website everywhere you can and the more exposure your website gets, the more money you will make on your beadwork. If you only tell your close friends and family, the chances of getting your website off the ground are slim.

Tips & Warnings
  • Sell your beadwork on other websites besides your own, such as eBay.
  • Use Paypal to accept payments for beadwork on your website. This eliminates the need for a shopping cart system and you can create "Buy Now" buttons once you have a Paypal account. The more money you can save, the more you can put towards other avenues, such as advertising.
  • Make sure you explain on your website about dye lots changing for beads and that if someone orders a piece from your website it may not look exactly the same as your picture. Even if you make several pieces that are the same, eventually you will either have to stop selling that piece when you run out of beads in that dye lot or put a disclaimer as mentioned before.
  • Leave yourself time to make the item. Make sure you explain on your website that you may have to make the piece and that it could take up to two or more weeks depending on the complexity of the piece.
