Staying organized when working in Adobe Premiere Pro is very important, especially if you are working with many clips. You can group multiple clips together so that you can easily move, disable, copy or delete them all at once. Both audio and video tracks of linked clips are included when you group it with other clips.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

To group clips together, first you must select multiple clips. Choose the selection tool from the Toolbox, and click on the clips you want to group while holding down the “Shift” key. Go to the menu at the top for “Clip” and then go to “Group.”

  2. Step 2

To “ungroup” clips, select a clip that is already part of a group, and go to “Clip” and then “Ungroup.”

  3. Step 3

To select one or more clips at a time that are already in a group of clips, hold down the “Alt” key while clicking a single clip in a group. To select additional clips that are in a group, hold down “Shift” and “Alt” while clicking the clips.

  4. Step 4

You can’t apply effects or commands to a group of clips, but you can select individual clips from within the group and apply effects.

  5. Step 5

You can trim the exterior edges of the group, but you can’t trim any of the interior “In” and “Out” points.
