In the Adobe Premiere Pro Timeline, the “current-time indicator” appears as a vertical line that moves through the Timeline over all your clips. It shows the location of the current frame in each monitor’s time ruler. The current-time indicator appears at the light blue triangle on the ruler. You can use the current-time indicator to paste in clips at specific points in the timeline.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
You can copy and paste single clips or multiple clips at one time. The relative spacing of multiple clips, both horizontal in time and vertical in tracks, will be maintained.
Step2
Select one or more clips in the sequence. You can use the "Selection Tool" in the Toolbox. To select multiple clips, hold down the “Shift” key while clicking. Go to "Edit," and then "Copy."
Step3
Back in the timeline panel, move the current-time indicator to the point where you want to paste your clip or clips.
Step4
Select the track where you want your pasted clips to be copied by clicking on it.
Step5
To overlay the pasted clips in a track that is empty, go to "Edit," and then "Paste."
Step6
To insert the clips in between cuts, go to "Edit," and then "Paste Insert."
