How to get and keep your teeth white

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • electronic toohbrush
  • floss
  • mouthwash
  • baking soda
  • crest whitening strips
  1. Step 1

Brush your teeth with an automatic tooth brush, being careful not to push to hard so your enamel is not removed. Sprinkle some baking soda on your toothbrush and brush teeth.

  2. Step 2

Floss making sure that your not just pushing in then out, which is bad for your gums. Make sure you are scraping the sides of your teeth with the floss and paying special attention to your posterior teeth. Rinse

  3. Step 3

Drink some water and wait about five minutes. Put on your crest platinum whitening strips and leave on for 30 minutes. Remove and do not drink anything dark or smoke for at least an hour.

Tips & Warnings
  • Whiten a few times a month and don't go overboard. Doing so will strip your teeth of protective enamel.
  • Whitening at night will be more effective seeing that you will not be eating or drinking anything that would deposit stains
  • do not use the stips to much, that will strip them of enamel
  • do not brush to hard
  • do not jam your floss through your teeth in a rough manner

on 3/16/2008 Thank you for the suggestions. Should you use baking soda on a daily basis or is that also harmful to the tooth's enamel?
