Ever wondered how often a particular hitter is able to beat out a ground ball for a hit? Infield hit percentage is one way.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Baseball statistics
  • Calculator
  1. Step 1

    Add up a hitter's total number of infield hits.

  2. Step 2

    Divide this number by the total number of ground balls the hitter hit.

  3. Step 3

    Know that the calculation is: Infield Hit Percentage = Infield Hits / Ground balls
