Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Consider bringing your iPod to listen to if you can then store it safely once you reach the end of the line and not have it be a problem (don’t lose it on the roller coaster you just waited an hour to ride).
Step2
Make a phone call or two if you have no one else to talk to (and making friends with those in front or behind you doesn’t seem advantageous). Should a phone call be disruptive or annoy others on line with you, consider the text message option. If you have it on silent, it won’t make noise vibrating or beeping when a text comes in and you can still carry on a conversation with someone who might be able to distract you.
Step3
Read. If you are on a stationary line that’s not going to move for some time (until concert gates open), you could consider bringing something to read. Always remember to have a place to store your reading material once you are out of the line at your desired destination.
Step4
Chat with those in your party if you are not waiting solo. Hopefully, you are in line with people you like so this won’t be a problem.
Step5
Rediscover the lost art of people watching. Crowds of any sort provide a great venue for this and lines are no exception.
