With that budget you're able to pay off your bills. Being able to save money after your bills is the tricky part.

  3. Step 3

Usually with a good budget in place everyone has some money left over for other needs. Saving money on gas is important. Find gas stations that have the more competitive cheaper prices, going the extra mile is worth it.

  4. Step 4

When it comes to groceries, cut out every coupon possible, this will help cut down the costs, especially when you have children. Also save as up as many pop bottles and cans and return them for cash, this will also cut down your receipts at the grocery store.

  5. Step 5

When shopping for clothing, shopping for quality is important but you don't have to pay an arm and a leg for them. Shopping on E-bay for a highly expensive item is a good way to save money. Target, Walmart etc. are also money savers on money. Children especially, they do not need the most expensive clothing. They out grow them anyways, These type of stores have the latest fashions with the lowest prices.

If you really desire to save that extra dime it takes the willingness to cut down on a lot of things in life, like maybe not having the full tv cable package, or get rid of your land lines and just use cell phones, this will save you a huge amount of money, and this is by experience.

  7. Step 7

Living smarter is always a good way to live life instead of throwing money away. Start collecting change, this adds up quickly and can be fun money for something later. There's a whole array of ways to save money. but it takes dedication and commitment.
