It is a well known fact that children need more sleep than adults but what if your child is having problems sleeping at night? Below are tips on how to help your child not only sleep through the night but also wake up well rested.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Make sure your child is getting enough physical activity and fresh air during the day.
Step2
Do not allow your child to have sugar or caffeine in the evening. Also limit the amount of fluids your child drinks in the evenings to help avoid frequent potty breaks.
Step3
Make sure they relax and wind down an hour before bedtime.
Step4
Develop a bedtime ritual- Turn off the television and read a book together or listen to soothing music.
Step5
Establish a routine and make sure your child goes to bed and gets up at the same time each day.
Step6
And finally encourage your child to sleep with a special blanket or toy that can help comfort them if they wake up in the middle of the night.
