These mushrooms are ideal for the garlic lover. Garlic mushrooms are an ideal topping on your steak, chicken, and pork. This recipe is quick and easy and adds a garlic mushroom delight to any meal.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 15 to 20 Fresh Mushrooms (I prefer Portobello)
  • 1/2 Cup Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 Cup Worchestire (can use Dales Low Sodium)
  • 1/2 Cup Butter (or preferred margarine)
  • 3 Tablespoons Garlic Salt, powder or minced Garlic
  • Microwave Safe Dish
Step1
Cut mushrooms to desired size (I usually leave them whole) and place in a microwave safe bowl.
Step2
Pour 1/2 cup lemon juice, 1/2 Cup worchestire, 1/C cup butter into the bowl with the mushrooms. Sprinkle 3 Tablespoons of garlic salt over the mushrooms (can also use 3 tablespoons minced garlic). Garlic powder will lower the sodium if you prefer.
Step3
Place in Microwave for 10 minutes. Take out and serve hot by themselves, over steak, chicken or pork.
Step4
These are ideal over any dish that needs that extra punch. You can also add cheese over the top of the mushrooms and just serve as an additional topping.

Tips & Warnings

  • For lower sodium you can use Dales Low Sodium and garlic powder.
  • Although this is great with real butter any type of margarine will do to lower undesirable additives.
  • These are addictive.
