This is a delicious southern salad of cucumber, tomato, and onion, with sour cream and seasoned salt.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Cucumbers, thinly sliced
  • Fresh Tomatoes, diced
  • Sweet onion, sliced or diced the way you like
  • Up to 16 oz. sour cream, depending on how large you are making the salad
  • Seasoned Salt (I used Lawrey's brand), to taste

Step1
The first step to preparing a cucumber, tomato, and onion salad is to thinly slice the cucumbers, dice the tomatoes, and slice/dice the onion. The toss all that in a salad serving bowl.
Step2
Mix seasoned salt with sour cream in a separate dish/container. Start with less of each to begin with so you don't over do it.
Step3
Thoroughly mix sour cream/seasoned salt mixture with cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions until everything is coated thoroughly. You may need to add more sour cream and/or more seasoned salt depending on the consistency you want and how seasoned you like it. Once that is all done, the salad may be chilled or you may serve the cucumber, tomato, and onion salad immediately. Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings

  • This cucumber, tomato, and onion salad goes well with just about any meal. It is particularly popular at pot luck suppers or family holiday gatherings.
  • Don't add too much seasoned salt to begin with to the cucumber, tomato, and onion salad -- you can always add more later if you want more of the season salt flavor.
