Things You'll Need:
- Peanut Butter - preferably Creamy
- Honey (preferred) or Syrup
- Powdered Milk or Oats
- Small bowl to mix ingrediants
-
Step 1
From the ingredients you can guess this won't be hard to make. However, for the first time I'd suggest the adult(s) try to make it so you can get a feel for the right portion of ingredients. I've found in the past that the humidity can cause some difference's in how the ingredients mix. For instance when living on the equator I found that some milk was needed vs. just Powdered Milk. Before starting figure out how much Edible Play dough your going to need. Rule of thumb 3 tablespoons of peanut butter per kid.
-
Step 2
Scoop out 3 tablespoons or what looks like 3 tablespoons and throw it into your small bowl(for one serving). See it's already fun, really who doesn't like Peanut Butter(sorry to anyone allergic too it). Make sure you get all of it off the spoon.
-
Step 3
Next add either honey(preferred) or syrup usually I add about 2 teaspoons for one serving. You can skip this step, but most kids like that sweet taste and so do the adults. At this point it helps to stir up the sticky mess.
-
Step 4
Next add Powdered Milk(preferred) or Oats usually about 8 teaspoons. Depending on your choice of ingredients you may need to add more, which is great just keep adding until it's no longer a sticky mess. Of course if you add too much and you won't be able to play with it.
-
Step 5
You are finished. Have some fun with Edible Playdough and when your done just clean up by eating it. The greatest part of edible play dough is the kids can make it themselves with minimal adult supervision. I've found it works with kids as young as 4 and well I still make it sometimes, let's just say I'm in the older range.
