Make a Blonde Hair Rinse

If you have blonde hair that's dulled in color over the years, sometimes all it takes is a simple homemade, all natural rinse to enhance the natural color. Here's how to make two different blonde hair rinses.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

To make the first rinse, add the juice of two lemons to two cups of warm water.

  2. Step 2

After shampooing hair, pour the lemon rinse over your hair and leave it on for ten minutes. Rinse in cool water.

  3. Step 3

To make the second rinse, add five tablespoons of dried Chamomile flowers to a pint of water. Place into a stainless steel pot and boil for forty minutes. Use a tea strainer to strain the liquid to use on your hair.

  4. Step 4

Apply the Chamomile tea rinse and allow it to remain on the hair for fifteen minutes before rinsing in cool water.

Tips & Warnings
  • If it's a sunny day, step outside with the lemon juice or Chamomile tea rinse on your hair and sit in the sun for thirty minutes. The subtle bleaching action of the sun in conjunction with the rinses will promote lightening.
