Sometimes staying awake can be difficult throughout your day, but especially at work. Here are some suggestions to help you stay awake, alert and productive.

You may drink coffee, soda, orange Juice and high caffeine laden drinks how ever way you choose. You may add different flavors or simply drink them straight as they are.

When choosing music, try to find a temp that is up-beat and energizing to you even if it's not a station or song that you would normally listen too. the point is to stay awake and different music can keep the brain going.

Sitting erect in your chair is very important. When you are slouched in a comfortable position you tend to relax allowing your brain and muscles to do the same. by sitting with your back straight you tend to stay focused on the job at hand.

It has long been a fact that people in warm comfortable climates tend to tire quicker than say someone in a breezier climate. Even if you have to grab that sweater hanging off the back of your chair, turning your A/C down a few more degree's will benefit you in the long run. It will also make that steaming cup of coffee taste even better.

Whether your chewing gum or sucking on hard candy, your jaws are moving keeping the body alert.

taking time to eat will give you the energy you need to get you through your day. however, choose protein based foods such as fish, steak or chicken. Remember how you feel after a thanksgiving dinner or that Easter ham. you want to curl up and go to sleep. So stay away from starch and carb laden foods,

high caffeine sports drinks are a definite advantage to fighting the nodding of the head and the dazed look of exhaustion. Although a bit more expensive than your normal soda it's effect is maximum. it will not last all day but it will definitely get you over that hump of staring at the clock.
Tips & Warnings
There is a multitude of flavors you can add to your coffee to keep the flavor interesting. Remember, if you run out of idea's and it's not practical to run to the store there are Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts on every street corner. Take advantage, it will be worth your while.
Although Coffee,sports energy and caffeine soaked drinks will keep you going there are some draw backs. The high of caffeine not only makes your heart beat faster you will most likely get the jitters and sometimes lightheadedness. Read the warning labels on all products before ingesting them. This will give you a headstart as to how your body will react and if you could possible be allergic to any of the ingredients. Good health first.
