Once you have mastered major and minor scales on the guitar as well as some simple tunes, it is time to try an intermediate level song. The "Thrill is Gone" by BB King is actually a blues song, but has a jazz feel to it. Use the chords below to play the song.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Start off with a B minor 7 chord. Play this for four measures. Play this chord by strumming the top five strings and pressing the third fret on the B string and the fourth fret on the D string.

  2. Step 2

Play a 4 minor 7 chord next. Play this by strumming the top five strings. Press down the third fret of the G string, the third of the D string, and the third of the A string.

  3. Step 3

Go back to a minor 7 chord. This is played for four measures again, in the same manner as before.

  4. Step 4

Move on to a G7 chord. A G7 chord is played with all of the strings. Press the first fret of the high E string, the second fret of the A string and the third fret of the low E string.

  5. Step 5

Strike a 5 7 chord. This is played on the strings other than the high and low E strings. Press down the twelfth fret of the B string, the tenth fret of the G string, the eleventh fret of the D string and the tenth fret of the A string.

  6. Step 6

Finish by going back to a 1-7 chord. This is the same as the minor 7 chord.
