How to Make Spicy Grilled Chicken
Make some juicy and tender spicy grilled chicken and be sure there's plenty of it, because everybody will want more than one serving. Spicy grilled chicken is fantastic made on an outdoor barbecue, but can easily be made on an indoor grill. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- 6 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
- 1/3 cup canola oil
- 2 tbsp. freshly squeezed lime juice
- ½ tsp. fresh lime zest
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- ¼ tsp. red pepper flakes
- 1½ tsp. fresh oregano
- 1 tsp. salt
- ¼ tsp. freshly ground black pepper

Mix the canola oil, freshly squeezed lime juice and lime zest in a mixing bowl. Stir in the crushed garlic, red pepper flakes, oregano, salt and pepper

Add the chicken breasts and turn the pieces over so they are all coated.

Cover the bowl and marinate the chicken breasts in the refrigerator for about an hour. Stir or turn them occasionally.

Prepare the grill at medium-high heat and oil the grill.

Discard the marinade and grill the chicken breasts for about 6 to 9 minutes on each side, until the juices run clear.

Serve the spicy grilled chicken hot off the grill.

Tips & Warnings
Increase the amount of red pepper flakes slightly if you want the spicy grilled chicken to have a bit more "heat." Go easy, because the pepper flakes can overpower the other flavors.
Serve spicy grilled chicken with a fresh tossed salad and some warm rice pilaf for an easy and delicious meal.
