How to Hide Candy From Siblings

You were the one who went trick-or-treating for hours, so it's only fair that you're the one to enjoy the candy. If you want to hide your hard-earned stash of sweets from your siblings, find a secure spot where you can access and share your treasure whenever you want.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Carry your favorite varieties with you in your purse, tote or backpack. However, keep it out of a hot car and direct sunlight to prevent melting.
Step2
Find a spot that will take too much time to rummage through, like under a pile of laundry or stuffed animals. Your brothers and sisters won't want to be caught searching for your candy, so they'll probably look where they can check quickly in the event you walk back into the room.
Step3
Consider places that one would never hide something edible, like inside sneakers or a laundry hamper. Enclose candy in a zip-top bag to keep it sanitary.
Step4
Create a hiding spot inside a tissue box stored on your nightstand. Carefully remove all the tissues from the cardboard container, stash candy in the bottom, then replace some of the tissues on top.
Step5
Hide your candy in the kitchen pantry, but conceal it behind packages of food that your brothers and sisters would never want to eat.

Tips & Warnings

  • Plan on "hiding" a few of your least favorite pieces of candy in a spot where your siblings can find them. They'll think they've uncovered your secret stash and won't bother to look any further.
  • Don't hide candy where you might forget it. Your parents won't appreciate a trail of ants heading toward your bedroom.
