Step 1
Open the iTunes application. Add songs to your iTunes playlist, if you haven't already done so.

Return to the "View" menu. Click "Show Visualizer."

Play a song so that you can see the changes occurring as you make modifications.

Select "Edit" and "Preferences" from the iTunes menu across the top of the application. Choose the "Advanced" tab and then the "General" tab.

At the bottom of the panel, choose either "Small," "Medium" or "Large" next to "Visualizer Size" to change the size of your Visualizer's display.

Check "Display Visualizer Full Screen" if you'd rather have a full-screen of Visualizer effects to accompany your music.

Choose "View" from the iTunes menu. Select "Visualizer" and "Visualizer Options." Here, you can designate technical aspects of your Visualizer. Check off "Display Frame Rate," "Cap Frame Rate at 30 FPS," "Always Display Song Info," "Use DirectX," "Faster But Rougher Display" or any combination of them to customize iTune's Visualizer.

Click "OK" to make the changes permanent.
