Driving a Go Kart through the mud is nothing like driving a truck through it. It is low to the ground and, of course, doesn't have four-wheel drive. You are likely to become stuck if you are inexperienced. Follow these steps to learn how to drive a Go Kart through the mud.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Approach the mud at 5 to 10 miles per hour. Align the front of the Go Kart with the mud. Head straight into the mud without slowing down to prevent stalling.
Step2
Gun the engine once the rear tires of the Go Kart are an inch away from dry ground. You might make it all the way across if the mud is shallow enough. Keep an eye out for sinking, as you will have to act quickly.
Step3
Slow down if you get stuck and get out of the Go Kart while it is still running. Exchange your foot with your hand on the gas pedal. Grab a heavy stone or brick and lay it on the gas pedal.
Step4
Stand on the rear of the Go Kart and hold on tightly. This will make the back tires dig in and get more traction as it is moving through the mud. You must jump on quickly as the Go Kart will be moving rapidly.
Step5
Hop out of the Go Kart quickly when close to dry ground. Jump into the cockpit before it hits dry ground or it will drive away from you. Speed away to continue your race.
