How to Get Into Drama Club
Extracurricular activities can be intimidating, but when you see one you like, you should go for it. The debate club may not be your speed and the science club may seem to smart. If you enjoy being seen, telling stories and making friends, get into the drama club in school and spread your creative wings.

Prepare a monologue. In order to get into drama club in school, you may have to audition. Find a one minute monologue that you really enjoy, memorize it and get ready to perform for admission.

Start singing. Some drama clubs perform annual musicals. If your school performs musicals or if you want an upper hand on the competition, have one minute of your favorite show tune prepared for your audition.

Talk to the teachers. Some drama clubs are very open and ready to welcome any interested student. Find out from the head of the drama department what the requirements are to get into the club.

Come out of your shell. In order to thrive in any drama club, it helps to be social and outgoing. It is not a requirement for every actor, but it helps to ease your admission into the fold.

Cozy up to the drama kids. Get into drama club by befriending the right people. Your fellow students may not be able to admit you into the club, but they can show you the ropes once you are admitted.

Find the drama club's website or networking page. Many drama clubs have networking pages on the most popular sites. Find their page, ask for admittance and join in the fun.
