How to Know if a Guy Is Relationship Worthy

Evaluating whether a guy is worthy of your time can be a tricky task when your feelings are involved. You need to take a step back and evaluating him with as little bias as possible. Ask your friends and family for help if you don't trust your heart or have made several bad decisions in the past.

1. Evaluate your present level of interaction with him. If your friendship or interaction with him has had only mountains and valleys, chances are he's not ready for a relationship. Let him work out all the drama before you get involved.

2. Take into consideration not only how he treats you but especially how he treats his mother. The way a guy treats his mom tells a lot about his present maturity level. The way he treats his mom is how he'll treat any girl he gets involved with. Make sure she's not still doing his laundry.

3. Ponder his current life situation. If he recently broke up with someone, make sure you're not the rebound girl who's filling the "lonely" gap. Factor in important things like job status, financial stability, his level of hygiene and whether he has a car. Better to let him get there on his own than to try to mother him into readiness.

4. Watch how he treats service personnel, other girls and his friends. If there's consistency in his behavior, this is the best sign possible. If he treats people preferentially, you might want to let him mature some.

5. Listen to what your friends and family say as a point of consideration. Ultimately, you need to listen to your heart, but it's wise to seek the counsel of those who care about you.
