Place the Simba figurine on the table in front of you. Notice the lines that form his basic shape.

Contour the outline of Simba. Begin with his head and work your way down. Observe carefully as you create his basic shape. It is easiest to make your contour about the same size as the figurine. Check your drawing against the outline of the figurine. Erase and make adjustments as you work.

Add in facial features. Continue to carefully observe the Simba figurine as you draw. Check the spacing of the facial features. To make your drawing more accurate, check that the features are properly proportioned when compared to the figurine.

Draw in other details. Look at cub Simba's body. Sketch in any details you notice. Details bring your drawing to life and give it depth. Pay particular attention to lines in Simba's fur. Add them to your drawing to achieve a more three-dimensional picture.
