How to Draw a Kingdom Hearts Keyblade
Keyblades are the main weapons used by characters in the video game Kingdom Hearts. A keyblade chooses its owner as it sees fit so each one reveals a little bit about its wielder. These steps will show you how to draw this ultimate Kingdom Hearts tool.

Decide if you want to draw your own personal keyblade or one that already exists. Most keyblades share some basic similar elements with the only differences found in the designs and colors.

Design and draw the handle. The general shape of a keyblade handle is a square with a line through it serving as the grip. In some cases the square can be rounded on the edges, curved at the bottom corners, or just generally reshaped as you wish. You can also leave the bottom part of the handle unattached, thus making a "W" shape.

Draw the shaft up from the handle and about two to three times as long. Shafts are generally straight like a sword and may be single or double lines. There are some keyblades with slightly curved shafts and some with shafts that widen towards the top.

Create prongs coming off one side of the shaft. The prongs are found in many different shapes and sizes. On some keyblades they are simply rounded shapes coming out from the top of the shaft while others look exactly like a traditional skeleton key.

Add a short chain hanging from the end of the handle with a decorative charm at the end. All keyblades have this same feature and the charm should relate to the theme or the owner of the weapon.

Color each part of the keyblade as desired.
