Enter your current legal name and your name exactly as it appears on your Permanent Resident Card. Enter any other names that you have.

Provide your US Social Security number where asked.

Write your date of birth in MM/DD/YYYY format and write your country of birth and country of prior nationality as well.

Select your gender and enter your height.

Choose the appropriate reason for claiming US Citizenship. Choose only one option from those provided on the N-600 form.

Enter your home address and your mailing address, if it's different from your home address.

Add your daytime phone number and your evening phone number. Enter your email address and select the appropriate marital status option.

Choose the correct answer under the "Information About Entry Into The United States And Current Immigration Status" section. Complete the boxes under the corresponding number.

Circle "Yes" or "No" for the "Have You Previously Applied For A Certificate Of Citizenship Or U.S. Passport?" question.

Complete your adoption information, if applicable.

Step 6
Add an "X" next to the "Yes" check box if your parents were married to each other when you were born or adopted.

Step 7
Complete the boxes with information detailing when you were absent from the US since you first arrived.

Enter your US citizen father's current legal name, date of birth, country of birth, country of nationality and home address.

Check the boxes that describe your father's citizenship.

Step 3
Enter your father's dates of residency in the US.

Step 4
Choose A, B or C to describe your father's marital history.

Step 1
Enter your US citizen mother's current legal name, date of birth, country of birth, country of nationality and home address.

Check the boxes that describe your mother's citizenship.

Step 3
Enter your mother's dates of residency in the US.

Step 4
Choose A, B or C to describe your mother's marital history.

Step 1
Complete the information for your parents' military service, if applicable.

Step 2
Sign the document. A signature is also required of the document's preparer.

Step 3
Save Part 9 and Part 10 for later completion.
