1
Choose a piece of paper that suits the size of your drawing. Caricatures usually take up most of the page.
-
2
Select a drawing utensil that can make a fine to medium-thick line. Black felt pens usually work well.
-
-
3
Decide on a woman to draw. You may want to use a photograph to help you.
-
4
Notice if the woman has any unusual features, such as a big nose, little eyes or funny-shaped ears. It's usually best to pick an unusual feature and exaggerate it even more. For example, make a big nose bigger or make small eyes smaller. Or, you can make a long, pear-shaped head for a woman who has a high forehead.
-
5
Draw the head large and leave several inches at the bottom of the paper to draw a small body. Add detail to the caricature. If the woman has freckles, add even more freckles. If she always wears earrings, draw some big hoops.
-
6
Create an extra-large smiling mouth. Since caricatures are humorous, the character's mouth is usually very large, smiling and showing lots of teeth. Underneath the head, draw a very small body about one-third the height of the head.
-
7
Sketch some glasses on your caricature. If you're using a real woman as a model, make the glasses' shape similar to the glasses she wears. You may want to exaggerate them by making them extra large or extra small.
