Making a wedding bouquet with roses is a great way to save money instead of buying a bouquet from the florist. Decide the type of roses based on the colors of your wedding and your personal preference. Making wedding bouquets takes time, so you may want to prepare yourself by having everything you need on hand, and figure your design before you assemble your wedding bouquet.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Roses
  • Filler greenery or flowers
  • Floral tape
  • Scissors or sharp knife
  • Floral wire
  • Ribbon
  1. Step 1

Shop around for roses. Many times certain roses may be difficult to find and your floral supplier will need to order them. Also, if you're buying them from a florist, try to find the one who will give you the best price on your roses.

  2. Step 2

Choose the type of rose you would like to use in your wedding bouquet. If you purchase them at a wholesale warehouse, they will come in a pack of 20 to 25, which depends on the brand and color.

  3. Step 3

Remove all the thorns with a knife or sharp scissors. You don't want any thorns in your way when you are working with the stems. Also, you don't want the bride to suffer an unfortunate injury.

  4. Step 4

Strip the stems of all their leaves. You can do this with your hands. You'll need to have clean stems when you begin assembling the bouquet.

  5. Step 5

    Begin assembling the design.

Tips & Warnings
  • Purchase your roses no sooner than one day before the wedding so they won't be wilted on the wedding day.
