Save a lot of money while planning your wedding by making your own floral arrangements. Corsages, boutonnieres and bouquets are all relatively easy to make with a little bit of planning and some help. Use the tips below to add more leaves to your corsages.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Greenery bunches
  • Floral wire
  • Floral tape
  • Scissors
  • Spray floral polish
  1. Step 1

Begin by tearing some leaves from bunches of greenery. Rose leaves are a good size and relatively inexpensive to purchase in bulk. Leave at least a couple of inches of stem on the leaves when tearing them.

  2. Step 2

Trim the leaves with scissors until they are the right size. The leaves should not overpower the flowers, but provide a contrasting backdrop.

  3. Step 3

Shape the leaves with your fingers. Manipulate the size and shape by twisting the leaf around the stem. Once you have found the right shape and size, secure it with a little bit of floral tape.

  4. Step 4

Spray the green leaves with floral polish so that it holds its shape and stays lustrous and doesn't droop.

  5. Step 5

Use an odd number of leaves for a corsage. Use three and fan out toward the top.

  6. Step 6

Try using five leaves for a larger corsage. Fan three leaves out on top, and fan two leaves downward toward the bottom of the corsage.

  7. Step 7

Secure the stems of the leaves with floral tape. Attach the stems to the flower using floral wire. Finish the corsage with a ribbon. Use a four-faced or two-faced ribbon depending on the size of the leaves and flowers.
