Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Wakeboard with bindings
  • Wakeboard rope with handle
  • Ski boat

    Normal Heel Side Stance

  1. Step 1

Hold on to the rope in a crouching position, with your knees pulled in close to your body.

  2. Step 2

Let the water pull you up out of the water. Keep the wakeboard straight across your body until you begin to stand up.

  3. Step 3

Turn the board to an angle with the right foot forward. Keep your knees bent.

  4. Toe Side to the Right Hand Side

  5. Step 1

Stand up on the wakeboard in a normal boarding stance.

  6. Step 2

Turn your body to the right with the left foot forward. The front side, or toe side, of the board is facing backwards away from the boat.

  7. Step 3

Put your weight on your toes. The toe side of the wakeboard is digging into the water. Your upper body is twisted around to the left.

  8. Riding Switch

  9. Step 1

Pull up out of the water.

  10. Step 2

Turn your body to the left. You'll have to let go of the rope with your left hand.

  11. Step 3

Grab the rope from behind and lean forward, away from the boat.

Tips & Warnings
  • Riding switch is just like riding your normal stance but backwards. Practice your switch on land with the rope tied to a tree.
