Step 1
Stand with your feet just a bit further than shoulder with apart, and bounce at the knees and hips, loosening up your body as you are beginning the move. Reggaeton is a loose dance style, so your body should move smoothly and easily to the beat.
-
Step 2
Bend your knees slightly and lift your right hand overhead, moving to the beat of the music throughout the entire movement. Lower your right hand as you lift your left, clapping them together as you meet in the midsection of your body. Continue the motion, lifting your left hand overhead as you lower your right.
-
Step 3
Repeat the clapping motion, dropping your left hand to meet your right at the centerline of your body and lifting your right hand overhead once again. Clap one more time dropping your right hand and then hop as you perform the fourth clap.
-
Step 4
Spread your legs as you are beginning the final clap, stepping your right foot out in front of your left. On the first clap of the next set, hop and return your feet to their original position.
-
Step 5
Continue the clapping hands beginning reggaeton move until you have mastered the step. Take this simple move to the dance floor and use it in combination with other reggaeton dance techniques.
