Today, many recording studios are very advanced. They contain many computerized instruments and equipment. However, despite the advancements in musical recordings, the recording studio still needs to have traditional instruments in order to produce rich, authentic and unique sounds. Here are a few steps on how to get musical instruments that are typically used in a recording studio.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Include a guitar in the recording studio. There should be an acoustic guitar, an electric guitar and a bass guitar. Some recording studios also include guitar variations such as the Spanish guitar or a banjo.

  2. Step 2

Add drums to the recording studio. A good recording studio will include various types of drums such as bongo drums, snare drums, bass drums and tom tom drums. Having a wide variety of drums on hand will assure the best drum sound in any recorded track.

  3. Step 3

Ask the specific musician what types of instruments they would like to have used in their music and purchase these instruments for them to use. Offer to purchase instruments such as violins, trumpets, trombones, accordions, and other instruments that could produce a unique and authentic sound.

Tips & Warnings
  • For unique and authentic music, use real musicians and real instruments instead of a keyboard. Today, the use of a keyboard has replaced many instruments. The keyboard does have a nice sound, but it takes away the authenticity of the real musical instruments. Try to use authentic instruments with microphones as much as possible in order to preserve the authentic sounds.
