Apple Logic Pro is a music application for the Mac computer. This software makes it possible to do audio recording and Midi sequencing, song writing, multiple instrumentation and mixing. It requires a few basic components to begin making professional sounding music. Here's what you need to get started.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Choose a USB MIDI interface for portable plug-and-play connectivity. This device allows you to plug in multiple components to expand your options and keep all other components connected so they will interface properly. It also allows you to make the system portable and easy to set up in any location.

  2. Step 2

Add a MIDI controller. The most common of these components is a keyboard. Any keyboard that is MIDI compatible will work. The more versatile the keyboard you choose, the more musical variations you can incorporate in your repertoire.

  3. Step 3

Get an audio to digital converter to translate analog audio signals into digital audio format. This allows you to create and save music files, overdub, lay down multiple tracks and create MP files or audio CDs. The converter can either be Firewire or USB plug in.

  4. Step 4

Include a set of speakers to hear what you are creating and play your compositions for the world. The quality of the speakers you choose will largely determine how your finished composition sounds. No matter how great your composition or how good the rest of your equipment is, when the speakers aren't good quality, you'll be disappointed in the results.
