Step 1
Use the correct stance when you pass in lacrosse. Directly face the player to whom you intend to pass the ball. Rotate at the waist when you pass to increase your power and the speed of your throw. Position your feet so that the foot opposite of your dominant hand is in front (if you're right-handed, your left foot would be the lead foot; the right foot would be in front for a left-handed lacrosse player).

Step 2
Hold the stick in the proper position when attempting a lacrosse pass. Grip the middle part of the stick under the head (the netted part where the ball is kept) with your dominant hand. Position your other hand near the bottom of the stick. When you prepare to pass the ball, elevate the stick approximately 6 inches above your shoulder using your dominant hand. Use the top hand to guide the direction of the ball as the bottom hand initiates the speed of the pass.

Step 3
Perform a lacrosse pass. Combine the movements of the arms and legs to pass the ball quickly. Overhead passing is quicker and more accurate. Higher passes are caught more easily than passing that uses the ground to bounce the ball.
