Step 1
Put your most powerful side up front. In this way, your strongest weapons for defense or offense are closest to your opponent.
-
Step 2
Place your opposite leg (the side you deem less powerful) and arm behind the lead side. You have to determine how much space to put between your feet. Go with what feels right.
-
Step 3
Turn your torso and hips slightly toward the back leg and arm. You don't assume a full-frontal position in jeet kune do.
-
Step 4
Place your hands up to guard, counter or strike as the situation demands. The position of your hands in terms of height is something each individual must determine. Part of the jeet kune do philosophy is that you develop your own proper stance.
-
Step 5
Keep your knees bent slightly; never lock them.
-
Step 6
Engage your abs.
-
Step 7
Keep your head up, always watching your opponent in a jeet kune do ready stance.

on 8/13/2008 My friend, you are missing a few important aspects of the Bai Jong. Including the back heel, pivot pelvic, rolled shoulders, and the reasons for each position.
