Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find a place to learn to use Indian clubs. There are gyms that now use them. You can also purchase training videos and clubs at various online sources.

  2. Step 2

Start with lighter weights to begin with. As with any sports or work out you will start small and build your way to the heavier clubs. They come in a variety of weights.

  3. Step 3

Assume the correct grip and stance. Hold the clubs towards the end with three fingers on the stem and one on the nub. Feet should be shoulder width apart and your knees slightly bent.

  4. Step 4

Begin a basic swing. Use your shoulders to swing the clubs. Swing the clubs from slightly behind your hips to up over and behind your head. Use your legs to build momentum for your swing.

  5. Step 5

Perform a snatch move. This is taking the basic swing to the top. At the top of the swing, you stop and balance the clubs, or snatch them. Then you swing them back down and repeat. You will use your legs to dip into this swing to give you your momentum.

  6. Step 6

Complete a pendulum swing. Start with the same stance of feet shoulder width apart and knees slightly bent. Swing the Indian clubs across the front of you, from left to right and back again. Use your shoulders for this swing.
